Experience the lesser known Tasmanian iconic hikes on our doorstep

Get out and in the fresh air for a long day bush walk while taking in the iconic Tarn Shelf at Mount Field (3-5 hours).  Like a longer hike?  Try Tarn Shelf Circuit (6-8 hours).

Our Tasmania hiking event is an excellent way for friends to get out in nature and recharge their batteries together. Or what a great opportunity for workplaces to register a team for a unique team bonding day.

The Walk

Option 1 – Tarn Shelf walk (3-5 hours)

Option 2 – Tarn Shelf Circuit – Lake Webster Circuit (6-8 hours)

Enjoy a hike through Tasmania’s stunning Mount Field region.  You’ll be visiting a picturesque series of small glacial lakes, and if you do the circuit there’s a number of pristine lakes and quaint historical huts preserved and containing memorabilia from the region.  Fagus, Australia’s only deciduous beech tree is a feature of this walk.  The leaves will be turning – meaning changing into an array of autumn colours.  It’s the most glorious site ever!
